First up...

A redhead! I thought it only fitting that a site entitled Planet Hot start out with a fiery beauty. Said beauty is Alexandria Karlsen, model extraordinaire, friend of Hugh Hefner, and overall gift to mankind. If you enjoy this pic of her, by all means look her up on Google. And, of course, pay a visit to her site, AlexandriaKarlsen.net.

Now for the scary part. Call me the ultimate killjoy, but Reuters tells us that scientists report that global warming has reached a catastrophic tipping point, where global warming is close to continuing even if we were to stop all emissions of greenhouse gases today.

If true, this would be really, really bad news.

To quote the article, "The report, based on research published in journals including Science and Nature, also found the effects of climate change were so severe they should spur urgent action to prevent more damage and to combat damage that has already occurred."

We'd better hustle, indeed.

On that note, please check out the BBC Climate Change Experiment, a global effort designed to harness the spare power of individuals' personal computers to conduct the largest study of climate change, ever. You too can help.
