Americans Like Them Big
While I could be talking about the certain lovely attributes modeled here by Playboy Cyber Girl of the Year Monica Leigh (nsfw), it's something else that's on my mind.Like most Americans, I like beating the world at just about everything, but I was stunned to see how bad we kick the ass of the rest of the world when it comes to being polluters. To wit, the Washington Post reports that "Americans represent 5 percent of the world's population but contribute 45 percent of the world's emission of carbon dioxide."
Holy crap.
The reason given here is that we like to drive big cars. More specifically, we like to drive our big cars more than anyone else drives their big cars, little cars, and freakishly small european cars combined.
Our big cars are also the most inefficient cars, and we have a lot of them.
